Frequently asked
Questions guests ask before their first visit
Booking, pricing and safety, then every treatment we offer, topic by topic. If yours isn't here, call us. We'd rather answer it now than have you book the wrong thing.
This page is general information. It does not replace an individual consultation, a medical evaluation, informed consent, or the instructions that come with your specific treatment. Services, pricing, eligibility and protocols change. Always tell us about health conditions, medications, pregnancy, recent procedures and any change in your health before treatment.

Adults who want help with body confidence, skin appearance, unwanted hair, thinning hair, recovery, relaxation and metabolic-health goals. Many of our clients are women navigating midlife changes, but nothing here is limited to one age or gender.
We are a wellness and aesthetics business. Some services require medical oversight, a health screening or a good faith examination, and we will tell you before treatment if yours does.
No. Results vary with the service, the treatment area, your starting condition, age, hormones, health history, lifestyle, consistency, and whether you complete the recommended plan.
Consultations
Consultations and treatment plans
A consultation matches the right service to your goals and screens for anything that should rule it out.
It is recommended for every new client and required for some advanced services. We go through your goals, health history, treatment area, expectations, timing and budget in one sitting.
A current medication and supplement list, any relevant diagnoses, your procedure history, and the dates of recent surgery, injections, laser, peels or other treatments.
Sometimes, if the time is free and you are eligible. Some treatments need preparation, medical clearance, a patch test or a separate evaluation first.
Possibly. Some goals respond best to a series or a combination plan. If we suggest one, we explain the purpose, the order, what each session feels like, the cost and the alternatives.
Photos may be taken to plan treatment and track progress. Clinical photos are confidential, and we ask separately for permission before any identifiable photo is used in marketing.
Booking & arrival
Appointments, booking and arrival
These policies protect your appointment time and let us prepare properly for you.
Use the booking options at wellnessmethod4life.com, contact the lounge, or call (309) 989-2466. Pick the correct service and treatment area where you can, so the right amount of time is set aside.
Central Illinois, in Peoria: 8843 N Knoxville Ave, Peoria, IL 61615, next to Stegers Furniture. Directions and hours are on the contact page.
The Lounge is always open to you, and reservations are recommended so you get your ideal session time. Evenings and Saturdays fill up first.
New clients, about 15 minutes early. That covers your forms and gives you time to ease into the lounge atmosphere with a warm tea. Returning clients should arrive on time and tell us about any change in health or medication.
We fit the service into the time that is left and finish as originally scheduled, so the next client is not delayed, and the full fee still applies. A very late arrival may need to be rescheduled.
Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you, so we ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or move a visit. Inside 24 hours, a $50 fee applies. Missed appointments or repeated rescheduling can also cost a prepaid session. The policy shown when you book and in your confirmation is the one that applies.
Please arrange childcare and limit guests unless you need a support person with you. Minors cannot be left unattended.
Keep it silenced. Photographing, filming or recording staff or other clients needs permission first.
Pricing & payment
Pricing, packages and payment
Your written plan and the current menu are always the most accurate pricing.
It depends on the service, the area, the number of sessions, and whether the services are bundled. You get current pricing in writing before you buy anything. the full service list lists prices per session.
Yes. We work with three different providers to find the best option for you, and we work out which one fits during your initial consultation. Approval and repayment terms are set by the provider, so read the total cost, the schedule and the cancellation terms before you accept. There are also packages and memberships from $99 a month if you would rather spread it that way.
A $65 pass that lets you sample all 10+ modalities in 15-minute sessions: sauna, halotherapy, massage, full-body pod, power plate, a sample facial, hydrogen inhalation and more. It is a $280 value, and the easiest way to find out what suits you before committing. See Zen for a Day.
Many services are cumulative. A package supports the frequency usually needed before progress can fairly be judged, and it generally costs less than the same sessions bought one at a time.
Package, promotion, expiration, refund and transfer terms are given to you at purchase. Promotional offers can carry different terms to the standard package.
That depends on your plan and on the purpose of the purchase. Ask your plan administrator first: we cannot guarantee reimbursement.
Gratuity is optional. It should reflect your comfort and the kind of service you received, nothing more.
Safety & eligibility
Safety, eligibility and health information
Full disclosure matters even for noninvasive services. Tell us everything, then let us decide what is safe.
Contraindications vary by service and can include pregnancy, active infection, open wounds, uncontrolled illness, certain implanted devices, recent surgery, clotting concerns, cancer treatment, photosensitizing medication and altered sensation. That is not a complete list, which is why we screen you rather than ask you to self-assess.
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, cancer history, heart or vascular conditions, diabetes, neuropathy, seizures, autoimmune disease, kidney or liver conditions, bleeding disorders, implants, hernias or mesh, recent surgery, allergies, skin conditions, and all medications and supplements.
Many elective aesthetic and device-based services are postponed during pregnancy, and some are deferred while breastfeeding. Talk to us before you book so we can plan around it.
It depends on the device, its location, the material and your history. We may need medical clearance, a different area, or a different service altogether.
Never stop a prescribed medication unless the prescribing clinician tells you to. Do tell us if you take blood thinners, steroids, isotretinoin, antibiotics, photosensitizing drugs, a GLP-1 medication, or anything else that changes healing or sensation.
Call before you come if you have a fever, a contagious illness, a new rash, an active infection, vomiting, dehydration or any sudden change in health.
Report unexpected pain, burns, blistering, unusual swelling, changes in skin color or dizziness to us straight away. For severe symptoms, seek urgent or emergency care first.
Laser hair removal
Laser hair removal with Soprano Titanium
Hair grows in cycles, so laser hair reduction works as a series rather than a single visit.
Soprano Titanium uses laser energy to heat the structures associated with active hair follicles and reduce future growth. Only follicles in the right growth phase respond at any one session, which is why the series is spaced out.
It is best described as long-term hair reduction. Maintenance may be needed, because hormones, age, medication and dormant follicles all keep influencing growth.
The system is cooled and built for comfort, but sensation varies from person to person. Most clients describe warmth or a prickling feeling.
The platform is designed for a broad range of skin tones at the appropriate settings. A skin assessment is still required before your first session.
Laser targets pigment, so very light blonde, grey, red or white hair may respond poorly or not at all. We will tell you honestly at the consultation rather than sell you a series.
Most clients need a series spaced for the area and the hair cycle. The timing depends on hair color, density, skin tone, hormones and your treatment history.
Shave as directed. Do not wax, tweeze or thread at any point during the series. Avoid tanning, and disclose sun exposure, self-tanner, medication changes and any irritation.
Temporary redness, warmth or swelling around the follicles can occur. Follow the aftercare, avoid irritating products and excess heat as directed, and use sun protection.
Body contouring
T-Shape body contouring, cellulite and skin appearance
Protocols can combine radiofrequency, infrared energy, vacuum, massage and low-level light.
It can improve the appearance of cellulite, skin texture, localised contour and skin that looks lax. It is not a weight-loss treatment and it is not a substitute for surgery.
Warmth, suction, rolling and massage. Tell us immediately if you feel sharp pain, excessive heat, pinching or burning: the settings can be changed on the spot.
A series, normally. The changes are gradual and cumulative, and the frequency depends on the area, your tissue, your goals and how you respond.
Body contouring can change measurements and appearance without moving the scale much. Nutrition, movement, sleep, hydration, hormones and metabolic health all still matter.
Arrive hydrated, in comfortable clothing. Temporary redness, tenderness or bruising can happen, especially where vacuum is used. Follow the directions written for your plan.
Facials
T-Shape facial and skin services
Facial protocols are chosen for your skin and your goals, not off a fixed menu.
A facial applicator and selected device functions used to support a firmer, smoother, refreshed appearance. A session may include cleansing, a conductive product, serum, mask, moisturizer and sunscreen.
Generally very little, though temporary redness, warmth, tenderness or sensitivity can occur.
No. No single treatment replaces every other option. Radiofrequency facials, microneedling, peels and resurfacing all work differently, and we will say which one actually fits your goal.
Unless you are told otherwise, pause irritating exfoliants, retinoids, scrubs and strong acids if your skin is sensitive, and follow the pre-care and aftercare written for your service.
Hair restoration
Alma TED hair restoration
TED stands for TransEpidermal Delivery. It is a noninvasive scalp treatment with no needles and no injections.
TED uses ultrasound and air pressure to help deliver a topical hair-care formula through the surface of the scalp. There are no needles and no injections.
Adults concerned about thinning or shedding who still have viable follicles. Sudden, patchy, scarring, painful or unexplained hair loss needs medical evaluation before any spa treatment.
No. Hair loss can come from genetics, hormones, illness, medication, nutrition, stress, autoimmune disease or scarring, and some of those causes need medical treatment instead.
TED is generally done as a series, then reassessed, with maintenance after that. Your plan depends on the pattern, how long it has been going on, your scalp condition and your response.
Hair cycles are slow. Reduced shedding and changes in the scalp usually come before visible density, and consistent photos are the only reliable way to track it.
Arrive with a clean scalp, and follow the instructions about styling products, color, extensions and other treatments. Disclose scalp disease, allergies, pregnancy, medication and any unexplained shedding.
Recovery & relaxation
Thermal contrast, EMS, compression, red light and sauna
Controlled heat, cold, pressure and light. These support a broader wellness plan rather than replacing exercise or medical care.
Controlled heating and cooling alternated to a protocol set for the service. The goals can be comfort, recovery support, skin appearance or contouring support.
Electrical muscle stimulation, which causes controlled muscle contractions. It can support muscle activation or conditioning, but it does not replace exercise or medical rehabilitation.
Not necessarily. Cooling devices differ in temperature, duration, applicator, mechanism and regulatory status, and we will explain exactly which system your service uses.
Anyone with impaired sensation, neuropathy, heat or cold sensitivity, vascular disease, a history of clots, an implanted electronic device, a hernia, recent surgery or certain illnesses may not be a candidate.
Sequential compression applies controlled pressure to support circulation and relaxation, and to give temporary relief from heaviness or puffiness. It is not a substitute for medical lymphedema care.
That depends on the garment. Breast, chest or unexplained one-sided swelling needs medical evaluation, and post-surgical clients should follow their surgeon or lymphedema specialist.
Anyone with a suspected clot, severe arterial disease, uncontrolled heart failure, an acute infection or other relevant conditions.
A platform that creates rapid mechanical movement while you stand on it or hold selected positions. It can support balance, muscle activation, mobility and variety in your training.
Red and near-infrared light used to support cellular activity, recovery and skin appearance. Results depend on wavelength, intensity, distance, time and how consistent you are.
Controlled heat for warmth, relaxation and sweating. Any immediate change on the scale is fluid loss, not fat loss.
Sometimes, but the order, intensity, hydration and total heat all matter. Only combine services with provider approval.
Not on their own. They support comfort, movement, recovery and appearance, which is a different job from weight loss.
Metabolic health
Metabolic wellness and nutrition support
Education that supports better habits and better conversations with your own healthcare team.
We talk through the habits behind blood-sugar stability, appetite, hydration, meal timing, fiber, protein, movement, sleep and consistency, and build something you can actually keep to.
No. Diagnosis, medication management and disease treatment belong with a licensed medical professional. No drink, supplement or spa service is a cure or a guaranteed reversal.
Unicity nutrition products used by some of our clients. Balance is fiber-based and generally taken around meals; Unimate is a yerba mate-based drink. Follow the label and the guidance written for you.
No. Do not stop a medication or swap a supplement in for medical care. Ask a clinician or pharmacist about interactions, pregnancy, breastfeeding, allergies and chronic conditions.
Coordinate with the prescriber first. Fiber and appetite routines affect fullness, hydration, bowel habits, intake and medication timing. Report persistent vomiting, constipation, severe abdominal pain or poor hydration.
Results vary. Track energy, hunger, habits, waist measurements, strength, how clothes fit and the labs your clinician orders, rather than scale weight alone.
Results & maintenance
Results, progress and maintenance
Consistency and honest tracking tell you far more than any single day does.
Some services create immediate, temporary changes in warmth, hydration, puffiness or appearance. Hair-cycle, collagen and body-composition changes take considerably longer.
Starting point, genetics, age, hormones, tissue quality, severity, medication, health, lifestyle and how consistently you attend. Another client's photos do not promise your outcome.
Standardized photos, measurements, how clothes fit, symptom notes and agreed milestones. Keep the time of day, distance, pose, lighting and hydration consistent or the comparison is meaningless.
Many services benefit from it, because aging, hair cycles, hormones, sun exposure, weight changes and lifestyle all carry on after the series ends.
Follow the aftercare, attend consistently, hydrate, protect your skin from the sun, prioritize protein and fiber, move regularly and sleep properly.
Privacy & concerns
Privacy, professionalism and concerns
Every client should feel respected and informed, and told promptly when something is not right.
We limit who can see client information and use it for scheduling, care, payment and authorized communication. Please do not send sensitive health or payment details through unsecured social-media messages.
Not without your permission, except where the law allows or requires it. Tell us if you want a support person involved and what may be shared with them.
Contact the lounge promptly with the appointment date, the service, the provider and the concern. Photos help us review any treatment-related change in the skin. Call (309) 989-2466 or contact the lounge.
Book a reassessment. We compare it against your baseline, look honestly at consistency and home care, talk about timing, and decide together whether to continue, modify, pause or refer you on.
Before your first visit
Getting ready for your first visit
A short checklist for a safer and more productive appointment.
Complete your forms, gather your medications and history, follow any preparation specific to your service, do not arrive dehydrated or under the influence, and tell us about recent changes in your health.
Comfortable clothing that gives access to the treatment area. Bring appropriate undergarments for body services, and leave valuable jewelry at home or remove it before we start.
What the service can and cannot do, how it feels, the common side effects, the alternatives, how often you would come, the total expected cost, the aftercare, and the signs that mean you should seek medical attention.

Still have a question?
Book the consultation and ask everything at once: thirty minutes, $35, and a plan built around your body rather than our menu. Or just call; we'd much rather talk it through than have you guess from a website.
